Cycling infrastructure condition monitoring and assessment through novel instrumented probe bicycle

Reviewer's feedback:

The topic of the manuscript has novelty and it is an attempt for the use of instrumented probe bicycle for the monitoring of cycling infrastructure. Though the introduction section explains the principle and use of instrumented probe bicycle followed by the methodology adopted for the condition assessment of cycling infrastructure, the manuscript has the following limitations which need to be addressed before consideration for the journal publication.

1. The clarity of the results and the statistical methods applied could be improved. 2. The hypothesis of the test need to be elaborated beforehand.

3. There is a need to comment on the accuracy of the sensors with reference to the result obtained.

4. The significance of the result values of p test, W statistic and H statistic should also be elaborated.

5. The significance of assumptions made therein in obtaining the test data should also be included.

6. While a few older references have been cited, explicit in-text cross-referencing is currently missing.

7. The results so obtained can be compared with that of the state of the art practices in order to ascertain the efficiency of the probe bicycle.
