While this paper addresses an important and timely topic — improving safety in nighttime work zones — the current version would benefit significantly from improvements in scientific communication and analytical clarity. At present, the absence of figures, tables, or graphical summaries of experimental outcomes makes it challenging for readers to interpret, validate, and replicate the findings. Although the use of GLM/GEE methods is mentioned, the manusript would be strengthened by supporting these with appropriate visual or tabular outputs. Additionally, the paper would benefit from structural revisions, clear articulation of the experimental design, and more transparent presentation of the statistical outcomes. In its current form, the manuscript may not yet meet the standards for journal publication. However, with enhanced visual representation and improved structural organization, the work holds potential for consideration.
