Smart Road Markings Using Thermochromic Microcapsules For Visual Alerts

The research topic is interesting. the experimental analysis is sound, for a preliminary investigation. The main results demonstrate that the use of thermochromic materials in road markings, gives the desired smart property of changing color, once zero degrees is reached. Overall, this is a well-prepared paper suitable for a conference presentation. Despite, as noted by the authors in the conclusions, the experimental study is still in the preliminary phase and further development and validation of the results would help enhance its broader impact and potential consideration for a journal publication. 


Interesting work. 

1. I can see the color transition from white to red/pink. How it will have effect in day and night? 


2. The authors are advised to discuss the durability aspects of this material? For instance, how many years will it work satisfactorily when subjected to the same environmental and loading intensities?
