Effect Of Climate Change On Future Pavement Designs
Reviewer's feedback:
This research discusses ways in which material each layer of pavement structure can be modified for better durability. Comments are below:
1. Though it seems that multiple tests were conducted in this research, appropriate figures and correlations must be included for visual depiction of the findings and discuss identified trends and variations.
2. It would be helpful if the authors could provide a brief explanation of the Base Seal (BS-100) material to give readers a clearer understanding of its composition and function. Additionally, a brief note on its cost implications would add practical value.
3. The manuscript mentions a 29% reduction in emissions due to the use of warm mix additive? Could the authors elaborate on how it was determined? Including insights from lifecycle assessment could enhance discussion.
4. Although improvement in strength of individual layers is well presented, it would be valuable to see how these improvements translate to field performance.
5. The choice of CSS emulsion used with RAP and cement is noted. Could the authors elaborate on the rationale behind selecting this combination and the curing time required for optimal performance of this blend?
6. Language of the manuscript can be improved. Very long Abstract and conclusions. '- Please explain "Evotherm" briefly in the Abstract - Refine the structure of the manuscript.
Abstract and Introduction are very long, while Methods and Findings are rather short. - There are no literature references in the text, which must be added. - As the test setup is empirical and old, the authors must justfy if the changes in mechanical behavior can be adequately captured with Marshall tests.
