This is an interesting work. While the results are promising and offer new knowledge in the domain of quantifying micro- and macro-texture of pavement, elaborative information are missing. For example, being an image based study, few representative images of the collected data should be presented. Additionally, how these indices compare with conventional available indices? Such comparison would have enhanced the quality of the submitted manuscript.
