Experimental investigation of pavement surface texture-induced rolling resistance in a battery electric vehicle
Reviewer's feedback:
This paper addresses an important and timely topic and presents interesting findings. While the content is currently limited for consideration as a journal publication, it is well-suited for a conference presentation. To strengthen the analysis, the authors should also consider discussing the potential effects of roadway roughness in addition to surface texture. I don't see the point of adding the term “battery electric vehicle” to the title! How would this work have been different if we were dealing with a combustion vehicle? Here, it's more a question of the effect of the road surface. The title needs to be revised!

An interesting paper. Two approaches with testing done at realtively slow real-world driving speeds. The plots against MPD are interesting. It would be good to see this work developing into better undersatnding the actual contact conditions rather than a simple profile parameter.
