Development of Traffic Noise Propagation Model for Engineering Education

Reviewer's feedback:

The paper is very clear and well organised, providing the necessary level of details. Despite the modelling of road noise barriers by FEM is not new, the approach combining a real case study, numerical simulation calibrated on field experiments in the frame of an education project is very interesting. Two detail remarks: a few sentences could be added on the critical adaptation of the mesh to the frequency (what frequency range was considered, what implication on the mesh refinment...) and captions in the figures should be enlarged for better readability.

Editorial Decision for Conference Proceedings:

No additinional comments!

Track Leader’s Comments (if any):

Please note that some of the track leader’s comments are intended as feedback for future improvements

There are several other noise propagation models. For the paper to be valuable the authors should add a comparison with those, and indicate the advantage(s) of the proposed new model. If such a discussion is added and would show that the new model is indeed better, then an extended version is worth publication in a journal, but not in its present contents.
