A Framework for Improving Sustainable Transport Infrastructure in FCT with Intelligent Transportation Systems
Reviewer's feedback:
The topic of sustainable transport infrastructure and the integration of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) is both timely and relevant, especially in rapidly urbanizing regions like Abuja. However, in its current form, the manuscript requires substantial improvements in both structure and technical depth to meet acceptance standards. Below are my detailed observations and suggestions for revision:
1. Standard English writing is mandated. Everything must be written in the past tense presumably the work is complete.
2. It is advised to refrain from using abbreviations in the title.
3. Abstract: currently includes excessive background information and lacks methodological detail. Please revise it to briefly outline the research approach and include key findings. Recommendations should be supported by clear, evidence-based statements.
4. Introduction: a brief review of relevant literature should be incorporated to situate the study within the existing body of knowledge. Consider either refining Section 2 as a distinct "Problem Statement and Objectives" section, clearly outlining the research gap or integrating it into the Introduction for better flow.
5. Literature review: is limited and not well-integrated. It should ideally form part of the Introduction and include more recent and relevant sources to support the rationale for using ITS in Abuja’s context.
6. Methodology: please provide more detail about the number and type of stakeholders involved in the study. Clarify the criteria used for selection, the data collection tools, and how the inputs were processed. If qualitative insights were translated into semi-quantitative results, a brief explanation of the method is needed.
7. Key findings: while some interesting patterns are mentioned, the explanation of findings must be strengthened. For instance, the statement about a “significant positive relationship” between infrastructure quality and ITS awareness should be justified with supporting data. Consider using tables or figures to illustrate relationships and findings more clearly.
8. The information in Sections 6 and 8 include general statements that are not always supported by evidence from the study.
Please revise the content, especially in section 6, to ensure that all recommendations and conclusions follow the key findings presented.
Editorial Decision for Conference Proceedings:
It is recommended that authors follow the template, as it already provides a clear structure.
